We borrow inspiration for our architecture principles from several sources, especially the AWS Well-Architected Framework and Google Cloud’s Five Principles for Cloud-Native Architecture.

Google Cloud’s Five Principles for Cloud-Native Architecture are as follows:

• Be smart with state.

• Favor managed services.

• Practice defense in depth.

• Always be architecting.
