The question: A lot of the hype around agents has been around writing code, but what if you could have an agent watch for events in your GitHub repo and automatically run a set workflow when, for example, a new issue is created?

The answer, Lardinois reports, might be GitHub Agentic Workflows, a new tool revealed on Friday and now available on GitHub. It uses GitHub Actions to provide a sandboxed environment and the infrastructure to run agents across potentially millions of repositories.
