Tech veterans Alexis Richardson (Weaveworks), Brian Grant (Kubernetes) and Jesper Joergensen (Heroku) are pretty fed up with what they call “configuration hell” — having to search through a maze of YAML files to find an error in the heat of an outage that might be just a single extra space that’s crashing the system. Their latest startup, ConfigHub, treats configuration as data. No templates, variables, conditionals, loops or generators, just plain configuration that’s visible to both dev and ops folks.
